Systems

Specification

A system contains a specification along with a matching criteria that defines the system properties needed to make a valid package.

The system Specification contains information about one or more PLUS+1® compatible devices. It is created in the desktop PLUS+1 Service Tool together with the Matching criteria for the connected system.

Matching criteria

The Matching criteria determines which system properties are needed to make a package match the connected system. For example, the matching criteria determines how System Download Packages are matched in the desktop PLUS+1 Service Tool.

All ECUs in the system specification will be included (checked) by default, as well as the Net and Node Addresses, Protocol and Application ID for each ECU. ECUs and all available properties may be checked or unchecked, and the values (ECU properties) may be changed to create the desired matching criteria.

Note: The matching criteria must be valid to be able to edit applications.

The ECU name is set automatically depending on the matching criteria (used items), or it can be set manually to a specific name.

Note: When updating the system specification for a system, you may need to update the matching criteria manually if the current matching criteria doesn't match the new specification.
